Clive Smith

Clive was admitted in 1970 and became a partner in T H Ekins & Son in April 1977, before becoming its sole principal in 1989. T H Ekins & Son subsequently merged with Blackhams in 2003.
Clive specialises in Private Client work. Whilst at T H Ekins & Son, which had a substantial Personal Injury practice, his work included representing the successful Defendants in the case of Hodgson v Trapp that was decided by the House of Lords and briefly changed the law, before it was reversed by Parliament.
Clive is an enthusiastic supporter of both Aston Villa FC and Warwickshire CCC, where he has been a member for over 40 years. He is a governor of West House School and has been Chairman of the Old Boys' Association for more than 25 years.
