Michael Stocks

Michael read law at University College London and graduated in 1974. After completing articles in Wilmslow, Cheshire, he qualified in 1977 and moved to Birmingham. He is a member of The Law Society and Birmingham Law Society.
He is a Notary Public, having received his faculty to practice in 1994. He is a member of The Notaries Society.
Michael is one of the partners in the Private Client Department where his main areas of work are:
- Acting in sales and purchases of residential property
- Acting for Lenders and Borrowers in completing mortgages and re-mortgages of residential property
- Drawing wills and advising on Inheritance Tax planning
- Applying for Grants of Probate where the deceased left a will and Letters of Administration where the deceased died intestate and completing the winding up of their estates
- Completing Powers of Attorney under the Trustee Act and Enduring Powers of Attorney Act
Michael is also a trustee of several charitable trusts; a Lay Vice Chairman of the Parochial Church Council of his local church; and an elected member of Moseley Deanery Synod. He is also a member of St. Philip’s Singers of Birmingham Cathedral and of his local parish church choir.
