We see divorce as the last option in the process, and work hard to avoid it if possible. However, if it becomes clear that divorce is the only solution, we can help bring about a successful conclusion to your case with the minimum of distress.
We are experienced in ensuring the best result possible for our clients, and looking after the interests of any children involved. Our highly trained staff offer expert advice and will help you through every stage of the legal process.
Once divorce has been agreed upon, a Decree is applied for to finalise matters. The first stage is to apply for a "Decree Nisi", by completing an "Affidavit" and a "Request for Directions for Trial Form".
You must then wait 6 weeks and 1 day from the date of the Decree Nisi, after which you can apply to make the decree "Absolute" (Permanent).
If your marriage breaks down but you don’t want a divorce, we can help sort out your financial matters through a formal Separation Agreement.
