Martin has a great deal of experience of dealing with leasehold and freehold commercial property work and development work. In addition, he undertakes some residential property work and trust work, largely for long-established clients.
He took his articles with Restall Round & Gloster and Rees Edwards Maddox in Birmingham, qualifying in 1970. He was made a partner at Rees Edwards Maddox in 1972, becoming managing partner in 1988 and senior partner in 1990. The firm merged with Willcox Lane Clutterbuck in 1997 and merged with Putsmans in 2001, where Martin was a partner before joining Blackhams in 2007.
Martin was educated at King Edward VI Five Ways School, and at Lanchester College, Coventry (LLB).
His interests are hill walking, classical music, the Armstrong Siddeley Owners Club, his house in France and travelling.
